Deborah Rhea Seehorn Bio
Deborah Rhea Seehorn, born May 12, 1972, is an American actress. Her most well-known role is that of Kim Wexler, an attorney in AMC's Better Call Saul (2015-2018), where she has twice been awarded the Satellite Award as Best Supporting Actress – Series, Miniseries or Television Film. She also appeared on the NBC show Whitney (2011-2013) and ABC's I'm with Her (2003-2004) and TNT's Franklin & Bash (2011-2014). Deborah Rhea Seehorn, a Norfolk native, was born May 12 in 1972. Her mother was an executive secretary for the United States Navy, her father was an agent with the Naval Investigative Service. The family resided in Washington, D.C., Arizona, Japan, and was frequently moved throughout her youth. Following the footsteps of her mother and father She was interested in painting, drawing, and architecture from a young age. She continued to study the visual arts, but had an increased interest in acting and was introduced into contemporary theatre in the college. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art from George Mason University in 1994. Seehorn began her career in college as an actor and was supported by her acting instructor. To be noticed she did the ancillary positions in D.C.'s theater industry. The result was some significant parts in local theater productions however, she had to take odd jobs to make ends meet as she landed roles in several short instructional films. Then, she began to land roles on television productions. She was often seen in roles that were "very humorous and funny" similar to her role model Bea Arthur. These roles were often cancelled after only one to two seasons. Seehorn was selected to play Kim Wexler on the Breaking Bad prequel series Better Call Saul in May 2014. Seehorn plays Kim Wexler, who is an attorney and the lover of Jimmy McGill/Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk).
