Summer Bishil Bio

Summer Bishil was a Pasadena, California native. Her family and her relocated to the United States when she was only three years old. Summer was a student at British and American schools, while her family moved abroad. she returned home to her hometown town of Pasadena just a few days shy of her birthday of 14. Enticed by the thought of being an actor since the age of five, Summer took her first acting class at the age of 14. Nine months later, she made an agreement with an agent and an agent and started to follow her career full-time. She is currently pursuing her college degree in her spare time. The actress was named one of the "Ten Actors to Watch" by Variety (2007). Nominated for Best Actress – Spirit Award. Bishil began to take acting lessons when she was 14. Bob Strauss, a Los Angeles journalist at the newspaper, declared that Bishil "...is among the best natural actresses on film in recent years. Gary Goldstein in a September 12 Los Angeles Times review of the movie Towelhead stated that "...newcomer Summer Bishil turns in a strong, nimble, riveting performance as Jasira. She filmed Wayne Kramer’s Crossing Over project in 2009 and starred Harrison Ford and Ray Liotta. Jay Reiner of the Associated Press liked her portrayal. She was chosen to play Azula in M. Night Shyamalan’s film The Last Airbender (2010). The sequel never made.
