Rosamund Pike
Born in London in 1979, Rosamund Elizabeth Pike is an actor. She was the sole child to a classical violinist mother Caroline (Friend) and an opera singer father Julian Pike. She spent her childhood travelling around Europe because of her parents' work. Pike was a student at the Badminton School in Bristol, England and then began her acting career at the National Youth Theatre. Pike was just 23 years old when she made her debut in "Romeo and Juliet" at the National Youth Theatre. She was then noticed by an agent and was signed. Although her debut film was a major-budget action feature but the film following was primarily in smaller independent films, such as Promised Land (2004), The Libertine (2004), (for which she received the Best Supporting Actress award at The British Independent Film Awards), and Pride & Prejudice (2005) in the role of one of the Bennet daughters.
