Watts (born 28 September 1968) is a British actress from the UK. When her
family relocated to Australia and she made her debut in film with the film For
Love Alone (1986) after which she appeared in three television series, Hey
Dad.. (1990), Brides of Christ (1991) and Home and Away (1991) as well as the
feature film Flirting (1991). Watts was a failed actress when she first came to
the United States. She acted in films with a small budget and then became an
actress. Watts became famous internationally by playing the role. Watts then
played a tormented journalist in the remake of The Ring (2002). In her role as
a grieving mother , in the Alejandro film 21 Grams, she was nominated for the
Academy Award for Best Actress. Watts' star power increased when she was
featured in I Heart Huckabees (2004). King Kong (2006), Eastern Promises
((2007)) and The International (2009). Watts was nominated for an Academy Award
as Best Actress for her performance in The Impossible (2012). She starred in
films like Birdman (2014) St. Vincent (2014) and While We're Young (2015).
Watts was also a major character in blockbuster movies, appearing in Divergent
(2015)-2016.
