Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American television chef and former Institute of Culinary Education instructor She is also a television personality. Burrell hosts Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef as well as the host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network presenter with her distinctive spiky blonde hair and a bubbly personality, reveals simple techniques to master and reduces anxiety about restaurant food on her TV show Secrets of a Restaurant. Chef Burrell has also worked at many of the best eateries in New York, studied the food culture and culinary traditions of Italy, and battled on the Food Network's Iron Chef America. Growing up in upstate New York, Chef Burrell developed a passion for cooking and food at an early age. The Culinary Institute of America was the next step for her after she graduated with an Associate of Arts degree in English and Communication in the fall of 2004 from Canisius College Buffalo NY. I enjoyed every moment that I was a student of The Culinary Institute of America she states. I could not be more educated or accomplished in my studies. After graduation, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany and La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) as she attended an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. While in Italy she gained a deep appreciation and understanding of Italian culinary and cultural traditions. It is a huge influence on the way that Burrell prepares her food. Burrell is an ambassador for the celebrity chef of the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation. She also is a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which assists kids who have challenges. In her capacity as a guest speaker and teacher she travels across the US to talk about her love for cooking and profession. Anne has stated throughout her culinary career she's grateful to share with others what is most important to her.
